The vision for THE IDEALISTS. was born from a deep desire to understand how the world’s most idealistic, visionary women think about the world.

We like to think we have a front row seat to the women who would be in a “Hidden Figures” movie in 2050… business, relationships, mothering, you name it, we talk about it.

Our guests can be broken into five categories:

1. dark horses.

In most contexts, the words “scrappy” and “opportunist" are vilified. In our world, we celebrate them. These scrappy opportunists are guests nobody believed would make it, and so, through sheer willpower and work ethic, they made a way. They are uncompromising in their quest for societal and personal development and tough as all hell. Like Arlan Hamilton who built her $10 million Venture Capital Fund while homeless.

2. observant creators.

Masterful observers of culture, history, and human spirit, these guests notice patterns and find ways to leverage opportunities within their industry. They are prolific storytellers, constantly tweaking and testing narratives, aesthetics, or business models until they sing. They ride the wave of culture and business, sometimes over decades, compelling others to believe, invest, and celebrate them.

3. cerebral savants.

Listening to these guests is like attending an intimate masterclass that breaks down some of the most complex scientific, cultural, and political issues of our time. They provide incisive macro-analysis based on their research, data, and specialized industry expertise. You can almost feel your neural synapses sparking as you leave the episode with new information and a profoundly different way of understanding the world.

4. wild mystics.

These guests are apt to casually drop references about “source” or “the universe” and their stories often have a poetic cadence. But, don’t be fooled by their ethereal — these guests stand at the juncture of modern and ancient, the metaphysical and the material. These are our modern-day poets, artists, healers, and “light-workers.” Non-traditional and non-linear, they have often studied wisdom traditions from indigenous cultures past and present. Some may call them eccentric, but their wisdom is deep, subtle, and collectively-minded.

5. justice warriors.

Perhaps one of the most visible visionaries in today’s cultural and political climate, these guests burn with an unrelenting fire to eradicate injustice and oppression. Controversial and irreverent, they unabashedly brave the ostracism that comes with speaking out against unjust power structures. Recognized quickly and debated fiercely, perhaps in another time these would have been real life warriors like the Dahomey Amazons or Joan of Arc.
