“I definitely had a trek through the wilderness, especially before I got into the Warner Bros workshop. There was a time in my life where I was house-sitting in Orange County, which was great! I had a place to live and I did a lot of writing and I did a lot of self-help book reading. There’s a great book called ‘The Artist’s Way’ that I highly recommend for anybody that wants to explore their connection to creativity and/or is thinking about a career change and/or would like to get to know themself better. It has a lot of practical exercises to be kind to yourself and to get in touch with yourself and what gets you excited creatively. During that time, I was so broke. I mean, I was not even working a day job and I remember this one day at the bank. I guess I was taking money out and the bank teller handed me the receipt from my bank account and the number on it I think was $4.86 or something. I mean, that was the amount of money I had… period. It was a low point financially. And you know, I don’t talk about this much but I donated my eggs like three different times because they paid you a lot of money to do that, so I think I actually have a biological child out there.”
